Expanding My Focus

On June 4, 2023, sincerely believing that I would not continue blogging, I posted the final installment of Walking Victoriously Through the ‘Long Goodbye’ and looked forward to discovering God’s future plans for my life. However, after taking time to recover from the impending surgeries that I was facing, I realized that a single troubling question continued to be at the forefront of my thinking: “How do I (alone) continue the legacy that Linda and I developed in nearly sixty years of marriage?” Therefore, on April 7, 2024, I posted the first installment of Living Victoriously After the ‘Long Goodbye.’ Pursuing an answer to that troubling question proved to be very therapeutic for me. Last month, in the final installment of that series, I outlined three great lessons that I had learned and noted, “I am now facing the future with increasing hope and confidence.”

Now, after carefully and prayerfully considering the turbulent times that we are living in and the increasing challenges facing an aging population, on September 6, 2026, I will be introducing a new series devoted to successfully navigating the challenges of aging. Foundational to my efforts will be a course that I developed and taught at Lee University in the late 1970’s. Nearly a half century of life experiences has exponentially increased my understanding of the topic.

In the meantime, in July and August, I am going to take a break from writing. Hopefully, I will be able travel to my native state of Florida and see the beautiful ocean that I enjoyed so much in my youth. Please remember that all of the blogs that I have published since August 2, 2020 are archived and will continue to be available for viewing. I prayerfully request that you direct hurting persons to my website (ronharvardministries.com).
